51 Personae | How to think about Future? 如何思考未来？
Starting from a recall of his meeting with the prominent futurist Alvin Toffler 34 years ago, Mr Miao is going to share with you his understanding of the future study, why and how we should think more about the 'future' today, based on his life-long career as a business and technology intelligence professional.

Miao Qihao 缪其浩
1940年代生人
Former deputy director of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of Shanghai (ISTIS), Miao Qihao is a 1982 graduate of the Physics Department of Fudan University. He received an MS degree in Scienti c and Technical Information in 1985, and in 1989 he studiedfor one year at Science Policy Research Unit of Sussex University (UK), after which he returned to China. He was a young man when he attended aclosed-door meeting at SSTII on Alvin Toffler’s book, The Third Wave, during Alvin Toffler’s trip to China in 1983.
原上海科学技术情报研究所副所长，1982年复旦物理系毕业，1985年获科技情报理学硕士，1989赴英国苏赛克斯大学进修。
In the 51 Personae event, Miao will depart from his encounter with Toffler over 34 years ago and reflect on the expansion in the field of information technology in the intervening years, and on how it has affected the way we discuss the ‘future’.
1983年1月14日参与托夫勒访问上海举办的《第三次浪潮》内部座谈，给青年缪其浩留下深刻印象。他将从那次34年前的见面出发，带领大家重返1983年中国和上海的历史现场，从而重新理解我们对科技和科技情报的理解，并由此打开这个问题：我们今天可以如何讨论“未来”？
